Jeff DeYoe, Pastor/Head of StaffEmailJeff DeYoe is a graduate of Kansas State University (B.A. 1978), Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div. 1981), and McCormick Theological Seminary (D.Min. 1990). In addition to serving as a pastor in Kansas, Minnesota, Florida, and now Ohio, he is an accredited chaplain with the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education. Jeff is married to Ruth, also a graduate of Princeton Seminary, who is a Christian Educator by profession. Jeff and Ruth have a daughter, Tina, who is a student at Princeton Seminary, and a son, who is a graduate student at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Jeff has run 36 marathons in the last 30 years, has competed in numerous triathlons and lately has been enjoying his life as a cyclist because even as he becomes a slower runner as he gets older, he still manages to stay fast on his bike. |

Amy Avery, Associate PastorEmailAmy Avery joined the staff of Worthington Presbyterian Church in February 2006. She is a 2002 graduate of Hope College and a 2005 graduate of Western Theological Seminary. Amy serves as the Associate Pastor of Pastoral Care and her duties include: hospital and home visits, counseling, leading the grief support group as well as supporting the Prayer Chain, Board of Deacons, Ministry of Faith, Growth and Adult Education, ROMEO's, Prayer Shawl Ministry and many other various pastoral tasks. In her free time, Amy enjoys traveling, reading, running, wine tasting and meditation. |

Jonathan Hauerwas, Associate PastorEmailIn 2006, Jon received a call as the Associate Pastor for Mission at Worthington Presbyterian Church. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of South Carolina, obtaining a B.A. degree in History in 2002. Following college, Jon spent one year in Edinburgh, Scotland, serving a homeless hostel as a Young Adult Volunteer commissioned by the Presbyterian Church (USA). The next year, he entered Princeton Theological Seminary. Jon received his Master's of Divinity degree from PTS in 2006. This fall, he begins the Doctor of Ministry Church and Ministry program at Columbia Theological Seminary. Jon enjoys playing golf and traveling. He and his wife, Kara, have one son named William "Liam". |

Keenan Blanke, Director of Youth ProgramsEmailKeenan started his calling as Director of Youth Programs in July of 2002. He is in charge of Sunday morning education, service work and youth group for grades 7-12. Keenan has been a life-long Worthington resident as well as a member of Worthington Presbyterian Church for more than 25 years. He graduated from Worthington High School, and has a degree in history from The Ohio State University. He is married to a wonderful wife, Jennifer, and they have three children, Alexandra, Samuel, and Simon. |

Darlene Bitter, Preschool DirectorEmailDarlene Bitter has been the Preschool Director since June 2007. She has been working in the field of early childhood education for more than 25 years. A native of Cleveland, she moved to California in 1980 and graduated with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from California State University, Fullerton. She and her husband Dennis, have two boys. They moved to the Westerville area in 2005. |

David Rives, Director of MusicEmailDavid has directed choirs of all ages in churches and synagogoues for more than thirty years. He has taught choral conducting and applied voice at the college level, and has performed as soloist with numerous American choral societies, opera companies, and orchestras. He teaches private voice lessons to students in all age groups. |

Lynn Warner, Director of Christian EducationEmailLynn Warner, Director of Christian Education, has her roots in Long Island, New York, but grew up mostly in nearby Newark, Ohio, where her father was a Presbyterian minister. Lynn is a graduate of Grove City College in Western Pennsyvania and has served as Christian Educator in both a professional and volunteer capacity before coming to Worthington Presbyterian. She and her husband, Randy, are the proud parents of two daughters, Jodi and Jessica. |

Brett Greene, Organist/Associate Director of MusicEmailBrett Greene has been Organist/Associate Director of Music at Worthington Presbyterian Church since July 2008. He is a 2005 graduate Houghton College (B.Mus) and a 2008 graduate of University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (M.Mus). In his free time, Brett learns calculus, physics, and other engineering-related subjects. |

Mary Brake, Financial AssistantEmailMary is the Financial Assistant at Worthington Presbyterian Church. She has been working in this capacity since September 1995. Any questions regarding contributions, account receivable or payable, budget, payroll or Endowment would be directed to her. Mary works closely with the Finance Committee and all staff members with regard to daily financial matters. Mary grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio where she worked as a legal secretary before moving to Columbus in 1972 when she married Bill. She attended the University of Cincinnati and Franklin University. Bill and Mary have three children, Laura 26, a RN at Riverside Hospital; Andy 25, an OSU graduate currently residing in Tampa, Florida and working for Enterprise Car Rental and Mike, a graduate of the University of Akron, who works for Worthington Industries. |
Rick Wilcox, Facilities ManagerEmailRick joined the staff as Facilities Manager in February 2009. He and his wife, Shyla, have lived in Worthington and been members of WPC for over 30 years. They have two married daughters. Rick enjoys traveling and do-it-yourself projects. |

Patty Wiechel, Food Service ManagerEmailPatty Wiechel joined the Worthington Presbyterian staff as a part-time Food Service Manager in August 2007. Born and reared in Newark, Ohio, Patty is a graduate of Newark High School. She holds a nursing degree from Central Ohio Technical College. Patty and John, her husband of 32 years, have three children. Nathan and Matt are both married and live in the Grand Rapids, Michigan, area with their wives. Annie attends Purdue University. |

Susan Marvin, Administrative AssistantEmailSusan Marvin joined our staff as Administrative Assistant in January 2009. Susan lives in Worthington with her husband, Brian. They have two children: Lex and Sophia. Susan and Brian have been members at WPC for nine years. |
