Rev. Dr. Julia Wharff Piermont
Julia was ordained in 1990. She served in three churches before coming to Worthington Presbyterian Church. Julia loves music of all kinds and plays the piano and French horn. She also enjoys movies, reading, photography and traveling. Julia also enjoys golfing with her husband, Dennis. She has two grown step-sons, a teenaged step-daughter and two grandchildren.
Rev. Dr. Thomas F. Rice
Pastor for Discipleship
Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University, a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary. Tom has led mission trips to the Yucatan Peninsula (Mexico), Cuba, Jamaica, and to many parts of the United States. Tom’s wife Betsy is also an ordained minister. Tom and Betsy have two sons—Daniel and Andrew.
Rev. Betsy Rice
Pastor for Member Ministries
Betsy graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 1986 and earned a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1992. Prior to WPC she served for seven years as Parish Associate for pastoral care at First Presbyterian Church of Royal Oak, Michigan. She was a Supply Preacher for the Presbytery of Detroit, for 16 years and for nine years, served as a member or Co-Chair on the Committee on Preparation for Ministry. In her first call, Betsy served as an Associate Pastor at Fox Valley Presbyterian Church, Geneva, Illinois for seven years. Her husband is Rev. Tom Rice, and they have two sons—Daniel and Andrew.
Rev. Wayne Morrison
Parish Associate for Visitation
Wayne was a pastor for 29 years at First Presbyterian Church in Eaton, Ohio. He grew up in Columbus, graduated from Muskingum College in 1972, and earned a Master of Divinity degree from Columbia Theological Seminary in 1987. He has been an active participant in Miami Valley Presbytery and a founding member of the Habitat for Humanity Board in Eaton. Wayne is married to Betsy, his wife of 40+ years. Wayne and Betsy have three daughters, two who reside in the Columbus area, one in St. Louis.
